Éco-Friendly

Every action counts!

Our partners | Ongoing Projets

Le P’tit Train du Nord is more than a linear park – it’s a living link between nature, people, and generations.
To preserve this shared treasure, every action matters. Discover how you can make a difference – and how we, as an organization, are doing our part.

YOU

What You Can Do

Experience travel on foot or by bike: an eco-responsible approach

Exploring on foot or by bike is a different way of traveling – slower, deeper, and more sustainable. Here are a few simple yet powerful actions to reduce your footprint while fully enjoying your journey:

  • Use official camping areas. Wild camping is not permitted in the park.
  • Avoid campfires and don’t throw cigarette butts. Help preserve safety and cleanliness.
  • Manage your waste: take everything you brought with you, including compostable and recyclable materials.
  • Use a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste.
  • Do not disturb plants, rocks, or natural objects. Leave nature untouched.
  • Respect wildlife: observe from a distance, don’t feed the animals.
  • Be courteous to other visitors. Respect fosters better shared experiences.
  • Use designated sanitary facilities (washroom blocks or dry toilets).
  • Choose active transportation, carpooling, or public transit to access the park.

𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢 | 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Dear users of Le P’tit Train du Nord,

✅ OFFICIALLY OPEN SECTIONS:

  • Section north of Chemin Pierre-Péladeau (km 33)

  • Section south of Piedmont Station (km 21)

🚫 SECTION STILL CLOSED:

  • Between Piedmont Station (km 21) and Sainte-Adèle (km 30)

Important Notice: Despite clear signage indicating closures, several trail users continue to circulate in restricted areas, significantly slowing down ongoing work. Starting Monday morning, additional signaling teams will be deployed to reinforce safety measures and clearly communicate restrictions.

The ongoing construction involves frequent movement of large trucks and heavy machinery. These vehicles have very limited visibility when reversing, posing serious risks to unauthorized users.

👉 If all users respect these safety instructions, work should be completed by Tuesday evening. Failure to comply may lead to delays and potentially affect the quality of the finished surface.

Please share this important information within your networks and adhere strictly to posted closures for your own safety and the safety of our crews.

Thank you for your cooperation!
