Marathon du P’tit Train du Nord

A POINT-TO-POINT COURSE

A breathtaking setting in nature

Unique in the marathon world, point-to-point and surrounded by nature! THE Fall rendez-vous for the most experienced elite marathon runners as well as for amateur runners. Forty-two kilometers you will never forget. Oxygen, nature and adventure are awaiting you on the road of the pioneers. With a start in Val-David and finish in Saint-Jérôme, the course offers a breathtaking setting.

Our course combines the picturesque diversity of the Laurentian forest, and performance potential thanks to its 220 meters negative drop.The most beautiful bicycle path in the world allows the Marathon P’tit Train du Nord to become the most beautiful nature marathon course in the world!

🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Le P’tit Train du Nord — This automn, we’re riding… with a few necessary work detours! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Our 234 km network welcomes you with a smile, but a few detours are in place to ensure everyone’s safety during ongoing work 👷‍♀️🚧:


Piedmont Sector-Preparatory Work (KM 22.1 to KM 22.8)

Preparatory work will take place on Thursday, October 9, and Friday, October 10, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., on the section located between KM 22.1 and KM 22.8, in preparation for stabilization work planned for 2026.

The traffic lane will be partially reduced, and alternating traffic may be implemented at certain times.

👉 Trail users are asked to remain vigilant, slow down near machinery, and respect the work zones and signage in place.


Antoine-Labelle Sector- Detour Route (KM 196 to KM 199)

Due to maintenance work on the trail at KM 199, a detour route has been set up via Godard Street, leading to the intersection with Pierre-Neveu Road at KM 196.
The trail will therefore be closed between KM 196 and KM 199.

👉 Please refer to the detailed map (attached) and follow all posted signage.
ℹ️ Please note that the Labelle to Mont-Laurier sector will officially close for the season on October 19.


Sainte-Agathe sector (KM 49 to KM 50)
‼ Due to major repair work on the Route 117 overpass
➡ The trail will be closed from KM 49 to KM 50 for a period of 27 weeks starting June 25, 2025.
➡ A detour has been set up for users. Please consult the detailed map (attached) and follow all posted signage.


🔄 Rivière-Rouge sector (KM 131.3 to KM 132)
➡ Temporary closure of a section
➡ 900 m detour via rue Landry, rue L’Annonciation, up to Napa store.
